- Pick up Route 8 north anywhere from Bridgeport to Waterbury
- Route 8 north to Route 4 in Torrington
- Route 4 west to Route 7 in Cornwall Bridge
- Route 7 south 4.5 miles to Carter road on left
- Take Route 8 north and see previous set of directions or
- Route 7 north from Norwalk
- Follow 7 all the way to center of Kent (monument)
- Continue 4.5 miles north on 7 to Carter Road on right
- I-684 north to Route 22 in Brewster
- Route 22 to Route 55 east in Webatuck
- Route 55 across Connecticut line to Route 7- go left
- Route 7 to center of Kent (monument)
- Continue 4.5 miles north to Carter Road on right
- 287 to 684 north/east
- Follow previous set of directions
- I-90 (Mass Pike) west to Lee, MA (Exit 2 off Mass Pike)
- 102 west turns into Route 7 south
- Route 7 south into Connecticut
- Route 7 for an additional 4.5 miles past the intersection of Route 4 & Route 7 which is in Cornwall Bridge
- Carter Road is on the left
- I-95 south/west into Connecticut to Route 9 in Old Saybrook
- Route 9 north to New Britain and Route 72
- Route 72 west toward Bristol
- 72 to Route 6 in Terryville/Plymouth
- Left on 6 west to Route 8 north in Thomaston
